The Team
International partners:
Our International partners play an important role at Christ Church Glenwood. They act as advisors in the affairs of Christ Church Glenwood. We are in regular contact with them and consult with them on important decisions that need to be made. They act as links with other groups of evangelical Christians around the world. They pray for us, maintain interest in us and hold us accountable to the gospel.
Rev John Chapman:‘Chappo’ is a world renown evangelist, based in Sydney Australia. Chappo was the head of the Department of Evangelism for the Sydney Anglican Diocese.
Pastor David Jackman is the director of the Cornhill Training Course in London and is a respected Bible teacher and author throughout the evangelical world.
Vijay Menon is the evangelist on the St Helen’s staff in London. He is a prolific preacher of the gospel and has considerable experience in city ministry.
Local partners:
The local partners are the chief servants of Christ Church Glenwood. They set the policies of the church, teach the growth groups and serve where they can.
Rodney Westwood is married to Susan, a father of two and is employed in the Telecommunications field. He has been a Christian for over 20 years and has much experience in church affairs.
Martin Koekemoer is married to Cindy and is a civil engineer. He has been teaching the Bible to students for the last couple of years, and is committed to getting Christ Church Glenwood thinking about how to reach Durban.
Staff:
Grant Retief:
Grant is the minister-in-charge of Christ Church Glenwood. He is married
to Lillibet [see apprentices below], studied at George Whitefield
College in the Cape and enjoys playing the drums!

David Ng: David and his wife Jenn are British and Australian Chinese respectively. David studied at Cornhill, under David Jackman [see International Partners], and at Moore College, Sydney. He is passionate about doing gospel ministry in cities, and is committed to Durban.
Raymond Brown: Ray who is married to Rebekah are both from the UK [Ray is Jamaican by origin]. They have two delightful children [Naomi and Nathaniel] and are committed to church planting and evangelism.
Ray & Rebekah and David & Jenn joined the staff in July 2002. We thank God for them and we are grateful for their help and involvement in Gospel work.
Apprentices:
Donnè Queripel: Married to Pierre, Donnè is studying to be a school teacher. She is gifted with children and loves people.
Daniel Garratt: Daniel is married to Debby and is an accountant by qualification. He tutors in his spare time at the University of Natal and loves computers!
Ashley Roberts: Ashley is a BMus [UND] graduate who is committed to reaching people for the gospel. He loves meeting new people and talking to them about Jesus.
Lillibet Retief: Lillibet is married to the Minister-in-charge [!] and is a gifted Bible teacher. She tutors psychology at UND in her spare time and loves teaching the Bible to women.
Bible college students:
Mark and Michelle Dennison: Mark and Michelle are a gifted couple who are at George Whitefield College in the Cape. They are in their second year and hope to be employed by a church to teach the Bible after their studies. They are both horticulturists by qualification.
Jo Morris: Jo is a post graduate history major from UND. She loves teaching the Bible to students and is in her second year at George Whitefield College. She hopes to be employed by a church to teach full time when she is finished.
We thank God for our team - near and far. They are an integral part of the Christ Church Glenwood family.
